Marcia Nance is a proven and competent administrator and consultant.
When asked to grow traditional undergraduate entering classes and lower tuition discount percentage at Barry University, she designed an implementation strategy that resulted in a 75% increase in fall entering class enrollments over a five year period.
When asked to change the academic profile of that entering class, she created a strategy that increased the average high school GPA of the first-year entering class students from 2.9 to 3.2.
When asked to analyze the pricing strategy at Barry, Marcia did the research on both the institution’s price elasticity and position in the marketplace and then designed a tuition plan that resonated with the marketplace and supported recruitment and retention.
When asked to take the results of a two-year market research project and re-brand Barry University, Marcia designed strategies and materials that created awareness, new market share, enrollment growth and won many national awards.
I am confident in her abilities to accurately analyze situations and design both strategies and implementation plans that create successful attainment of institutional goals. I believe Marcia Nance and InterimWin will in fact provide win-win opportunities for the colleges and universities served. |

Marcia Nance’s consultation and advice has been instrumental in changing our lackluster new student recruitment efforts. She keenly analyzed our institutional needs and designed a solid plan that helped us greatly improve our enrollment efforts. From making recommendation on the strategic realignment of exiting personnel to establishing an enrollment management strategy for our admissions team that really works, Marcia brought a new level of expertise that stresses the interdependence of admissions, marketing and recruitment that our college never had before.
Marcia advised us that it would take18 months for her enrollment plan to begin showing results. And sure enough, after 18 months our college began to show consistently strong growth in new student enrollments. Our student body has grown in the double digits two years running and we are expecting similar results this coming year. I highly recommend Marcia’s services, and would call on her for any advice related to enrollment management and marketing. She’s great to work with! |

I have known and worked with Marcia Nance for more than a decade. She has a proven record of administrative effectiveness at a wide range of institutions and in a number of divisional roles.
Hands-on familiarity with very different institutional types has provided Marcia with a real understanding of the diverse needs and unique priorities of a wide range of schools. Marcia has provided administrative leadership and strategic planning and implementation at small colleges as well as large, comprehensive universities. She has been able to target specific tactics based upon individual institutional requirements.
Marcia brings a variety of important administrative skills to the table. An extensive background in college athletics and broad experience with nearly every aspect of Student Services make her an ideal choice for colleges and universities seeking assistance with co-curricular oversight and planning. In addition, years of detailed experience in enrollment management means that her knowledge base includes marketing, publications, financial aid, recruitment and retention.
Marcia Nance is bright, energetic and talented. Her management ability and supervisory expertise would benefit any leadership team. I recommend her services enthusiastically! |

"Marcia Nance is a people person. She is comfortable interacting at any level. CEO's, President's, Boards, Faculty, Students and potential students.
My experience working with Marcia proved repeatedly that Admissions, Student Affairs, Technology, Marketing and Advertising could work together and achieve a common goal, increased enrollment for Barry University.
Marcia instinctively envisions the Finish Line first and then strategically guides a team in finding creative and energetic methods to reach it successfully.
I look forward to any opportunity to work with Marcia." |

During my 30 years as a small college administrator, I was privileged to work with two individuals in enrollment management who truly understood the interplay of marketing, recruiting, institutional budgeting and institutional strategic direction. Marcia Nance is one of those rare professionals who possess both the ability to focus on the necessary, tactical work of enrollment management and the larger institution as a whole. I place great value on her insight and advice on a variety of issues that confront small colleges these days. |

I worked with Marcia Nance for three years at Barry University and learned a great deal from her. She is a tireless worker and incredibly savvy in all things marketing.
Marcia approaches new projects with great determination, and draws on her many years of experience to make wise decisions. Ever the student, when faced with a new challenge, she does her homework, immersing herself in information in order to plan the best course of action.
Perhaps what most sets Marcia apart from many other administrators is her insistence not only on data to drive decisions, but outcomes to measure success. Her work gets results for the institution—and she can prove it.
An institution would be wise to take advantage of Marcia’s drive, creativity, and experience. |

I served as second in charge under Marcia’s leadership from 1999 through the summer of 2007. During this time Barry University achieved tremendous success with undergraduate and graduate enrollments and received national awards for advertising in every year in which marketing was under Marcia’s area of responsibility. Total new traditional undergraduate enrollment grew from 769 to 1056 in 2005, which was the largest number of new full time undergraduate students in our history. We increased academic quality and developed an early registration and transitioning program that had an immediate positive impact on enrollment. Marcia developed a service culture within the division which included a centralized call center to ensure a personalized connection with students and families, and the Care Desk and Answer Center which serves visitors as well as current students, faculty, and staff.
Behind these results stood a well developed collaborative leadership team who performed at the highest level of competency, capable of monitoring performance, developing a refined motivated staff, and improving business processes. Marcia also developed internal information systems and technology support to conduct institutional research and comparative reports analyzing historical data to make data-informed projections. We learned to work smarter, within reasonable hours, taking moments to recognize benchmarks and the shining stars within the organization. Marcia’s leadership helped us to become a fine example of teamwork and accomplishment.
By fall 2008, the first recruitment cycle under my leadership, we experienced continued success with a record freshmen enrollment, residence halls at full capacity, and tuition revenues well above budget revenue expectations. |

"I have worked in a number of small liberal arts colleges for the past twenty years primarily with returning adults who want to complete their undergraduate degree or begin a graduate degree. It is rare to find someone who understands both the similarities and the difference between the traditional undergraduate and the returning adult undergraduate. It is even rarer when that professional can create a message that resonates equally well with both these populations. Marcia Nance simply knows what needs to be done and how to get it done. In my experience I find her competent and very unique in the field of higher education administration." |
